I am a Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft, working with Microsoft Viva Insights. I graduated from BITS Pilani with a B.E. in Computer Science in 2020. My expertise is in big data, Spark, distributed systems, ETL, Azure, and backend data platforms for product-scale analytics.
Experience
Working on backend and data-platform systems for Microsoft Viva Insights, focused on reliable platform capabilities for product-scale analytics and data scenarios.
Worked in the Data Platform team, building backend platform capabilities including a Metadata Service that stores metadata for data across the platform. Orchestrated and built extraction data systems that extract HR data to power People Analytics Query from Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft tenants.
Built a platform for Viva Insights to bring scenario data into the product platform. Integrated data scenarios including Glint surveys and Viva Skills, enabling extensible backend data ingestion and computation flows for Viva experiences.
Worked on Microsoft Teams analytics data systems. Redesigned the Teams Data Analytics Spark pipeline with delta processing, reducing daily processing time from about 14 hours to about 5 hours and saving roughly 50% processing cost.
Worked with the Android team on app development, owning features across stocks order flow, mutual funds redeem flow, and the profile tab that shipped to production.
Built a chatbot-based Teams app showcasing employee workflows and common actions inside Microsoft Teams.
